Screenings

A screening is a brief, informal assessment of areas of concerns in order to determine next steps and whether or not an evaluation is recommended. Screenings are typically provided in a daycare setting.

Evaluations

Evaluations are formal assessments addressing any areas of concern, gathering background information and synthesizing information to formulate a plan of care.

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy targets articulation skills, whether that involves errors on particular sounds, patterns of errors in overall speech or childhood apraxia of speech (CAS). Sound errors can greatly impact intelligibility and it’s frustrating when you are not understood. Speech therapy helps with acquiring new sounds and generalizing those sounds into spontaneous, conversational speech. Speech therapy also includes working with people who stutter. Grow Boldly believes in a multifaceted approach, addressing awareness, self-advocacy skills and emotional components related to disfluency.

Language Therapy

Language therapy encompasses the way that we understand (receptive) and use (expressive) language. This includes both spoken and written language as well as executive functioning skills and communication with AAC devices. Grow Boldly believes that language is best fostered through personal connections and support.

Parent Coaching

Therapy for littles works best with caregiver involvement! Coaching might include assistance with understanding stuttering, eliciting language in the home or teaching ways to generalize skills.

Flexible Service Models

Therapy can be provided in-home or at a community location, such as daycare. Teletherapy can be provided virtually via a secure platform.
